Please don't hesitate to reach out with any additional questions!
At this time, I simply require 12 hours minimum prepaid to establish care. Of course, if you know you would like more than 12 hours, please be sure to discuss this with me upfront as that creates a more seamless and simple experience scheduling-wise for both of us. Watch for occasional promotions or giveaways on my social media pages.
Ideally, we will meet, discuss postpartum care plans, sign the contract, and accept payment all before baby arrives. Many mamas reach out to me sometime in the second or third trimester. Typically care begins within the first week or so after baby is born.
I am also happy to start providing care before baby arrives, especially if it pertains to preparing for a smooth postpartum experience. For example, I could help you prepare your registry before your baby shower, make freezer meals, or process your concerns about what things will be like postpartum.
Additionally, I am happy to offer in-hospital support after baby is born on a case-by-case basis.
If your baby is already here, don't worry! I specialize in the entire fourth trimester (the first 12 weeks postpartum) and beyond. Reach out to me and let's get you some help!
Generally, I service a 35-minute radius from my home in Tipp City, OH. Generally, my boundaries are Sidney to the north, Springboro to the south, Brookville to the west, and Springfield to the east. Clients outside this radius will be considered with an additional fee for mileage.
Generally, I recommend a minimum of 4 hours for a postpartum shift. This can be flexible based on a variety of factors including travel time and availability.
Generally, I can work evenings and weekends. Other arrangements are possible on a case-by-case basis, so please do not hesitate to ask.
YES! I am always happy to share my personal opinions and experiences if you desire, but ultimately I believe each parent is given the grace to raise their children. Of course, I will let you know what current recommendations are, particularly regarding safety, and encourage you to make informed decisions in all matters. Feeding and sleeping are usually the top concerns for new parents and I am happy to navigate these with you!
I am happy to offer virtual support on a case-by-case basis.
Keep in mind that doula care is distinct from childcare. While I certainly am able to help care for your baby and other children, you as the mama are my primary client and so normally need to be present in order for me to provide care within my scope of practice.
While I can care for your baby into the late evening after you go to bed, I do not currently offer overnight care.
As a non-medical support person, it is beyond my scope of care to diagnose, treat, or advise you regarding maternal or infant medical needs. I am happy to be a sounding board, but I cannot provide any medical care.
It doesn't have to! I am happy to continue care beyond the fourth trimester so long as it is mutually agreeable and scheduling allows.
Yes! I will be happy to share my connections with you after we have established care and as your needs arise. I am blessed to know many wonderful local professionals that can help you on your postpartum journey.
